Her role as Willie Scott (an American nightclub performer and singer) in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), which was directed by her eventual husband Steven Spielberg, is her most famous role. She has been in Dreamscape (1984), Power(1986), SpaceCamp(1986), Black Rain (1989), Love Affair (94), Just Cause (1995) and The Love Letter (1999). The work of her portraits has been exhibited in the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw was born Kathleen Sue Nail in Fort Worth, Texas, the daughter of Beverley Sue (nee Simon), a beauty and travel agent, as well as Edwin Leon Nail, an airline employee of the airline. [4] At the age of five she relocated to St. Louis and graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School. Capshaw was awarded a degree at the University of Missouri in education. She was also a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She taught Special Education at Southern Boone High School in Ashland, Missouri, and Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, Missouri.
